GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Men's Tennis hosted a conference matchup versus Schreiner for Match one of a double-header including a match with East Texas Baptist later Saturday afternoon. The Pirates earned both victories to improve their conference record to 3-0 and their overall record to 11-6. 

HIGHLIGHTS VS. SCHREINER

• The men's team had to battle in doubles, but came through with wins on all thee lines. Rishi Rajesh and Nikolas Moret took a 7-1 tiebreaker at 3, with Landson Sosebee and Sebastian Herrera winning another tiebreaker 7-3 at 2. Jared Burton and Travis Rafferty added an 8-6 win at 1 for a 3-0 lead.
• The Pirates then showed their depth in singles with wins at 2-6, with no set going deeper than 6-3. Parth Patel (No. 2) and Sosebee (No. 6) each won 6-1, 6-1, while Herrera (6-2, 6-1 at 3), Burton (6-0, 6-3 at 4) and Moret (6-3, 6-2 at 5) all controlled their matches as well.

HIGHLIGHTS VS. ETBU

• The Pirates completed a doubles sweep with Bernardo Clemente and Parth Patel taking a 7-2 tiebreaker at 2 doubles for the final point. Jared Burton and Travis Rafferty won their second doubles match of the day at 3, and Oscar Roy and Joseph Snyman improved to 3-0 together with a win at 1.
• Roy (1), Snyman (2) and Rylan Hastings (5) all won by identical 6-2, 6-2 scores in singles, with Clemente winning 6-1, 6-0 at 4 and Sosebee winning his second match at 6 of the day 6-3, 6-3.
