GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University men's tennis team earned major recognition from the Southern Athletic Association, as three Pirates were honored with All-Conference selections following an impressive 2026 campaign.

Leading the way was the dynamic doubles pairing of senior Joseph Snyman and sophomore Christo Langford, who were named SAA First Team All-Conference Doubles after a dominant season at the top of the lineup. The duo established themselves as one of the premier tandems in the region—and the nation—currently sitting at No. 23 in the national doubles rankings.

Snyman and Langford were a force at Line 1 doubles all season long, posting a 6-1 record in SAA play while compiling an outstanding 10-3 overall mark. Their consistency, chemistry, and ability to rise in big moments made them a cornerstone of the Pirates' success. The highlight of their season came in a marquee matchup against No. 3 Case Western Reserve, where the pair delivered a statement victory with a gritty 7-5 win over one of the nation's top duos. Time and time again, Snyman and Langford set the tone early in matches, showcasing elite-level play and unwavering competitiveness.

In addition to the first team honors, senior Sebastian Herrera was recognized for his character and leadership, earning a spot on the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team. A vital contributor throughout the season, Herrera competed in both singles and doubles, bringing versatility and reliability to the Pirates' lineup.

Beyond his on-court contributions, Herrera's impact was felt in the way he represented Southwestern tennis—with integrity, respect, and a team-first mentality. Whether battling in tight matches or supporting his teammates from the sidelines, Herrera embodied the spirit of the game and set the standard for sportsmanship within the program.

Together, these honors reflect not only individual excellence but also the strength and culture of Southwestern men's tennis as the Pirates continue to build momentum heading into postseason play.
