GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Men's Tennis outlasted Colorado College late into Saturday evening to earn the 5-1 victory over the Tigers and give the Pirates the opportunity to play in the SCAC Championship match on Sunday at 5:00 PM. The tournament, hosted by Austin College in Sherman, TX, moved things to the SMU -Indoor Courts due to weather. Southwestern would face Trinity University, again, for the Championship Match. The Pirates were down 1-2 after doubles and Trinity maintained that lead throughout, winning the Final 5-3.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Bernado Clemente and Parth Patel earn the sole point from doubles for the Pirates, defeating Trinity's #2, 8-6.
- Seniors Travis Rafferty and Ryan Flanagan finished their respective careers at Southwestern with wins. Travis won at #4, 6-4, 6-4 and Flanagan won at #6, 6-1, 6-3.
The Pirates wrapped up their season with a 15-9 record, going 5-1 in conference.
