Tigers Defeat The Pirates 5-1 At Trinity

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS -  The Women's Tennis team traveled to San Antonio, TX for their final, conference, away match up of the season versus the #14 Trinity Tigers. The Tigers jumped to an early lead and clinched early, beating the Pirates 5-1. 

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Erika Synoski won a 6-4, 7-5 decision at No. 3 singles and teamed with Daryl Locke for a close 8-6 loss at No. 1 doubles.
  • The match was halted when Trinity clinched, and Young and Sydney Wahl were both in tight matches with identical scores hoping for comeback wins, leading their second sets 4-3 after dropping their first sets 7-5.
  • Kimberly Duncan was trailing 7-6, 6-5 at No. 6, but going toe-to-toe with the Tigers as well.

NEXT UP

With a week to prepare for a possible rematch, the Pirates will try to make adjustments and swing the close decisions their way in the SCAC Tournament. First, they host the final home match of the year on Sunday at 10:00 AM CDT versus Colorado College.
