GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University women's tennis team saw its regular season finale against Trinity University on Sunday afternoon canceled due to inclement weather.
The match, originally scheduled as a key Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest, held implications for tournament seeding. However, with results from around the conference already finalized, the Pirates had secured the No. 3 seed in the upcoming SAA Tournament regardless of Sunday's outcome.
Southwestern enters postseason play having already clinched its spot in the conference tournament, capping off a strong regular season with consistent performances throughout SAA competition. While the matchup with Trinity would have provided a final tune-up, the Pirates now shift their full attention to the postseason.
With a secured position in the bracket and momentum built over the course of the season, the Pirates look to make a strong run as they compete for the SAA Championship.
