GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University women's tennis team continued to excel both on the court and in the classroom this season as three Pirates were named to the 2025-2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Senior Kimberly Duncan, senior Daryl Locke, and sophomore Lilly Perkins each earned the honor for their achievements athletically and academically throughout the year.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes student-athletes for combined excellence in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, nominees must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically, and compete in at least 75 percent of their team's competitions throughout the season.
Duncan, a senior from Greenville, South Carolina, capped off an impressive season by earning SAA All-Tournament Team honors following her performances at the Southern Athletic Association Tournament. Competing primarily at No. 3 singles, Duncan posted a stellar 15-4 overall record while also going 13-6 at No. 3 doubles during the season.
Locke, a senior from Humble, Texas, earned SAA Second Team All-Conference honors in doubles after putting together another strong campaign for the Pirates. She finished the year with a 9-8 singles record, including two unfinished matches, while compiling an impressive 14-4 doubles mark with one unfinished match.
Perkins, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, was recognized for her sportsmanship and leadership throughout the season, earning SAA All-Sportsmanship Team honors. On the court, Perkins recorded a 10-6 record with one unfinished match at No. 4 singles and concluded the season with a 9-10 mark at No. 2 doubles.
The trio helped lead the Pirates through a competitive season while continuing to represent Southwestern with distinction both academically and athletically.
