Southwestern Men's Tennis defeated Centre College 8-1 at home this past Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The Pirates had a strong performance, sweeping every singles court. 

Getting up 2-1 during doubles was crucial to the Pirates' success! Freshmen Bernardo Clemente and Parth Patel had an incredible battle together at line two doubles performing outstandingly! Freshman Sebastian Herrera and Senior Captain Steven Tibbetts also had a very impressive win at line three doubles. The energy was high across all courts creating a super positive and competitive atmosphere. 

Entering singles up 2-1, the Pirates maintained the high and positive energy well without getting overly confident! The encouragement across the courts was electric. Sophomore Oscar Roy had a solid 6-4, 6-4 win at line two singles, followed by Steven Tibbetts winning 6-1, 6-1 smoothly at line three, and Junior Ryan Flanagan winning 6-3, 6-1 at line five. 

Once again, the Southwestern Men's Tennis team had an outstanding performance and got the win, 8-1.
