KERRVILLE, Texas — Men's tennis tacked two more wins onto their season in an 8-1 and 9-0 victory over the Schreiner Mountaineers and Sul Ross Lobos
Head coach Billy Porter comments, "The men battled through extreme winds and tricky conditions all day and did a great job adapting to those challenges."
Changing up doubles for the men showed better results with
Hunter Bajoit and
Alexis Dimanche who defeated Luis Cabreja and Andrew Albright 8-1.
"The continuation of the doubles changes that were made came through today in both matches," Porter says. "The new pairings appear to be meshing well so far."
Porter also recognizes some of the other wins for the men are helping to continue their progress in the season. "It was nice to see some other guys get important reps today. Tyler, Jeremy, and Tashawn all getting wins on top of that were much needed for us and their confidence."
The Pirates improve to 4-0 in the season and will be back in Georgetown to host Howard Payne and the University of Texas at Dallas on March 2 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
