GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer standout junior Jackie Powell and freshman EJ Searfoss earned spots on the SAA All-Conference Squads. Powell led the conference in goals earning her first career First Team Conference nod, while Searfoss snatched a Second Team All-SAA nod in only her first season as the Pirates goalie.

Powell is arguably the toughest forward to defend in the SAA as opposing teams did everything imaginable to prepare and stop the junior. Powell helped turned the Pirates season around after scoring three goals against Millsaps College and Rhodes College, earning two big wins that helped clinch a SAA Tournament birth. Powell has recorded 12 goals on the season on four game-winners.

Powell's 12 goals marked the most goals scored in a single season since 1994 with more opportunities to come. The Dallas native currently sits at 19 goals for her career in only three years of competition.

Searfoss stepped into the starting role of goalie on the third match of the season and never looked back. The freshman has compiled 116 total saves on the year, which is only nine shy of tying the program single-season record of 125 set in 2015. Searfoss has also improved match by match, showing unlimited potential for three years to come.

The freshman secured six shutouts and seven wins so far, while holding an impressive .872 save percentage on the year. She had six double-digit save games with a career high 16 against Rhodes, including a massive penalty kick save.

Senior Lauren Powell was named to the SAA Sportsmanship team as a key leader and center back for the Pirates. The senior has started in 72 of 74 games at Southwestern.
