GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer announced the 2026 fall schedule ahead of their second season competing in the Southern Athletic Association. The schedule features more home games in 2026 as multiple opponents are making return trips. 2026 features 13 home games (2 exhibitions), seven away games, including an eight-game conference slate.

The Pirates finished 2025 at 7-8-4 overall and 2-3-2 in the SAA. Southwestern qualified for the conference tournament, falling short in the quarterfinals to the three seed. The conference will expand it's conference tournament to eight teams as opposed to six with the addition of Maryville College as the ninth team. The eight best teams will meet at the host site, Berry College (Rome, GA) on November 4-8.

Southwestern graduated an impactful group of 11 seniors, but return plenty of talent including their two All-SAA selections Jackie Powell and EJ Searfoss. Powell was arguably the toughest forward to defend in the conference last season also earning All-Region, scoring 12 goals which marked the most single-season goals since 1994. Powell totaled four games with multi-goal performances and currently sits at 19 career goals. Searfoss had an excellent freshman season, compiling 116 saves which was only nine short of the single-season record. Searfoss secured six shutouts, along with a .872 save percentage.

The Pirates also reload with 15 talented incoming freshman that features 14 from in-state and four from the local area. The offense kept 92% of the goals scored from the 2025 roster as majority of the 2025 graduates contributed to the midfield and defense. Head Coach, Linda Hamilton will enter her 11th season at the helm. Hamilton surpassed her 100 career Pirate victory last season, totaling 164 wins in her career at different locations.
