GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University men's swimming team turned in a strong overall showing at the Trinity Tiger Invitational, finishing 5th out of 9 teams with 16 individual finals swims, 12 personal bests, and a total of 227 points.
The Pirates opened the first day with solid scoring across the freestyle, IM, sprint, relay, and distance events, highlighted by multiple top-nine finishes. Momentum carried into day two as Southwestern posted several scoring performances in the IM, butterfly, backstroke, relay, and freestyle races. The team closed out the final day of competition with impressive efforts in the distance freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and IM events, securing several top-eight finishes to cap a successful weekend.

200 Yard Freestyle Relay – Southwestern's team of Rodrigue, Cortinas, McKinney, and Young finished 7th in 1:26.53.Â
