GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University men's swimming and diving team concluded competition at the 2026 SAA Championships, hosted by Centre College in Danville, recording multiple A-final appearances, consistent relay scoring, and a sixth-place team finish to close out the four-day championship meet.

Senior Andrew Renninger paced the Pirates with one of the meet's top performances, advancing to the A final in the 400 Yard Individual Medley and finishing sixth overall to earn key team points in one of the championship's most demanding events. Renninger also played a major role in several relay lineups, contributing to Southwestern's scoring depth throughout the week.

Senior Owen Rodrigue added a strong individual showing with a B-final appearance in the 100 Yard Backstroke, placing 10th overall. Sophomore Luke Lawhon secured a scoring finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing 13th, while sophomore Tim Young advanced to the B final in the 100 Yard Butterfly, adding additional points for the Pirates.

Relay Performance

Relay consistency defined the Pirates' performance across the meet. Southwestern's A relays in the 200 Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, and 400 Medley Relay each advanced to championship finals and secured valuable team points.

The Pirates' B relays also competed during finals sessions, reinforcing team depth and contributing additional scoring opportunities across multiple nights of competition.
