GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — The Southwestern University men's swimming and diving team completed day two of competition Thursday night at the SAA Championships, hosted by Centre College in Danville, highlighted by a scoring performance in the individual medley and valuable relay points in sprint freestyle action.

The Pirates earned key team points in the 200 Yard Individual Medley, where senior Andrew Renninger advanced to the B final and finished 11th overall with a time of 1:54.38, collecting six points for Southwestern.

Southwestern added to its total in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, as the A relay team of Tim Young, Sebastian Cortinas, Braxton McKinney, and Owen Rodrigue delivered a sixth-place finish in 1:24.90. The Pirates also saw scoring depth from their B relay squad of Jonas Eaton, Luke Lawhon, Amani Singh, and Talon Welch, which placed 14th overall in 1:27.48.

Pirate swimmers also competed in preliminary heats of the 500 Yard Freestyle and 50 Yard Freestyle as the championship meet continued to build toward the weekend finals.
