Pirates Dominate the Deep: Southwestern Overpowers St. Thomas Celts

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Swimming opened the 2025–2026 season in dominant fashion, sweeping all 13 events to defeat the University of St. Thomas 191–34 at Walzel Natatorium. The Pirates delivered a flawless performance from start to finish, showcasing elite depth across all strokes and distances.

HIGHLIGHTS – FIRST PLACE FINISHES NOTES
  • The Pirates swept the top three in the 200 Medley Relay, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 50 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 100 yard butterfly, and 200 IM.
  • Southwestern's 13-for-13 performance marks a perfect season opener at home.
  • First-year swimmers Crews, Goodwill, and Chavez made immediate impacts in their collegiate debuts.
