GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — Southwestern University Men's Swimming battled strong Division I competition on Friday evening, falling to the University of the Incarnate Word 201–69 in a hard-fought meet at UIW Natatorium. The Pirates earned one event win, nine total top-three finishes, and multiple season-best times against the Cardinals.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS – TOP FINISHES

200 Yard Medley Relay – The team of Andrew Renninger, Luke Lawhon, Sebastian Cortinas, and Tim Young tied UIW's B relay for second place with a time of 1:32.42, marking a season best for Southwestern.

1000 Yard Freestyle – James Cosman placed third in 10:50.93, followed by Sam Milinski in fourth at 11:03.54, both improving their early-season times.

100 Yard Breaststroke – Luke Lawhon took Southwestern's lone event win of the day, clocking 1:00.22 to edge UIW's Luke Philpot by six hundredths of a second.

100 Yard Backstroke – Renninger placed third with a 54.58, while Amani Singh followed in 58.46.

100 Yard Freestyle – Sebastian Cortinas posted a season-best 49.20, earning second overall.

200 Yard Backstroke – Renninger added another runner-up finish, touching in 1:58.66.

200 Yard Breaststroke – Kaden Jones and Braxton McKinney went 2–3 for Southwestern, finishing in 2:22.32 and 2:22.60, respectively.

400 Yard IM – Renninger continued his strong meet with a second-place finish in 4:20.13.

200 Yard Freestyle Relay – The team of Tim Young, Cortinas, Jonas Eaton, and Lawhon capped the meet with a third-place finish in 1:28.22, less than a second behind UIW's runner-up relay.
