GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Tennis team concluded their fall season at the ITA Southwestern Regional Championships in San Antonio, Texas last week. The program saw one doubles teams advance to the semifinal stage of the championship draw. In singles competition, one player advanced to the quarterfinals, and two total advancing to the round of sixteen in the championship draw.
DOUBLES HIGHLIGHTS

The doubles team of Daryl Locke and Helaina Reynoso advanced to the quarterfinals, beating their opponents 8-0 and 8-5 in the rounds of thirty-two and sixteen respectively. Lock and Reynoso eventually fell in the quarters by an 8-3 margin.

Erika Synoski and Lydia Lee went the furthest of Pirate teams, moving all the way to the semifinal stage. Synoski and Lee took 8-7, 8-6, and 8-4 victories over their opponents before being defeated 8-2 in the semis.
SINGLES HIGHLIGHTS

Kimberly Duncan secured a quarterfinal finish in the championship draw, the highest of her the team for the tournament. Duncan won her first match after a ten-point tie-breaker, followed by a 6-1, 6-3 and 1-6, 6-0, 6-2 match wins.

Daryl Locke was the second-highest finisher for the Pirates in the championship draw, moving to the round of sixteen following 6-1, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-3 victories over her opponents.
