No. 8 Ranked Chicago Earns The Sweep Over The Pirates

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Men's Tennis (6-1) hosted the #2 ranked University of Chicago Maroons (9-1) for a Spring Break match on Wednesday at 11:00 AM CST. The Pirates did everything to hold off the Maroons, but ultimately the University of Chicago won the match 9-0. 

NOTES

  • Landon Sosebee and Sebastian Herrera stepped into the lineup at 3 doubles and battled to a close 8-6 defeat
  • Oscar Roy (7-5, 6-4) and Ashton Ellis (7-6, 6-3) went toe-to-toe at the top two singles lines against the No. 7 and No. 50 ranked players in the country, respectively, before falling in tight battles.

  • The Men are on their way to California to take on the #4 ranked and defending National Champions, Case Western Reserve.
