Pawelek emerged as one of the top hitters for the Piratesearning a spot on the All-SCAC First Team at designated hitter. Hefinished with a .281 batting average and a .410 on base percentage.He finished with nine RBIs on the year and 38 total bases whiledrawing 17 walks. He recorded his first 3-hit game of his career ina 2-0 win against Cardinal Stritch adding the first of two tripleson the season. His work off the field also earned him a spot on theSCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Jake was a member of the Pirate baseball team.

Other College

Jake attended Lamar University for one year where he was amember of the baseball team.

High School

Jake is a 2011 graduate of Seguin HS. During his high schoolcareer he excelled both in the classroom and on the field,graduating in the top five percent of his class. On the baseballteam, Jake was a two time First Team All-Area and two time SecondTeam All-District. He earned Academic All-District honors andreceived his high school's Gold Glove award. He was also namedDefensive Player of the Year during his senior year.

Personal

Jake is the son of Craig and Amy Pawelek with one brother, MaxPawelek. He is majoring in studio art at Southwestern.
