GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – The Southwestern University women's golf team continued to excel in the classroom as six Pirates were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Scholar All-American Team.

Freshmen Anna Apisarnthanarax, Emily York, and Addi Pierce, junior Sydney Jackson, and seniors Sloane Panter and Rachel Harris each earned the prestigious academic honor, recognizing their outstanding achievements both on the course and in the classroom.

For Panter, the recognition marks the third consecutive year she has been named a WGCA Scholar All-American, highlighting her continued commitment to excellence both academically and athletically throughout her collegiate career.

The WGCA Scholar All-American Team recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate excellence academically while competing at the collegiate level. The selection criteria are among the most rigorous in college athletics, requiring student-athletes to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, remain on their team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's regularly scheduled rounds through the conference championship.

Southwestern's six honorees exemplified the commitment, discipline, and work ethic that define the Pirates program, balancing the demands of collegiate golf with exceptional academic success throughout the 2025-26 season.

The six Scholar All-American selections highlight another successful year for the Pirates, showcasing the program's dedication to excellence in competition, the classroom, and beyond.
