Pirates Finish Fifth at SAA Championship Behind Pierce’s Top-15 Showing

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University women's golf team competed at the SAA Championships on April 24–26 in Dickson, Tennessee, finishing fifth in the conference field with rounds of 322, 323, and 315 for a three-round total of 960 (+96).

The Pirates closed out the championship with their strongest round of the week on the final day, posting a 315 to climb the leaderboard and secure a top-five finish in a competitive SAA field.

Southwestern was paced by Addi Pierce, who delivered the team's most consistent performance across the three rounds. Pierce carded scores of 79, 75, and 80 to finish tied for 13th overall at 234 (+18). She also led the Pirates in multiple statistical categories, including par-5 scoring at +1 (5.08 average), total pars with 31, and birdies with six. Pierce and Sydney Jackson also tied for ninth in par-3 scoring at +3 (3.25 average).

Sloane Panter followed with rounds of 82, 83, and 76 to finish tied for 21st at 241 (+25), highlighted by a strong final-round 76. Anna Apisarnthanarax posted scores of 79, 80, and 83 to finish tied for 24th at 242 (+26), while Emily York recorded rounds of 82, 85, and 76 to finish tied for 26th at 243 (+27), matching the Pirates' lowest individual round of the tournament with her final-day 76.

Sydney Jackson finished 39th overall at 255 (+39), carding rounds of 83, 87, and 85. Rachel Harris rounded out the lineup for Southwestern, finishing 42nd with scores of 90, 86, and 95 for a 271 (+55).

As a team, the Pirates recorded 22 birdies and 155 pars over the three rounds, showing steady improvement throughout the championship and closing the week with a strong final-round effort.
