GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Senior golfer Ethan Bridges closed out an impressive collegiate career on the national stage this last week, competing at the NCAA Division III National Championship in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The Pirate standout narrowly missed the tournament cut by just one stroke after carding rounds of 78 (+7) and 69 (-3), highlighted by a stellar second-round performance that showcased the consistency and composure he carried throughout his final season.
Bridges capped off one of the strongest individual seasons in recent program history, finishing the year ranked No. 43 nationally and No. 21 in the region. The senior recorded three top-three finishes during the campaign while posting an impressive 71.9 scoring average for the Pirates. His strong play and leadership throughout the season earned him a second career selection to the GCAA Ping All-Region Team, further cementing his legacy within the program.
In addition to his regional honors, Bridges was recognized as an SAA Second Team All-Conference selection and collected SAA Golfer of the Week honors during the season. From consistent performances throughout the year to representing Southwestern on the national stage, Bridges leaves behind a decorated career and a lasting impact on Pirate golf.
