GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – Southwestern University Men's Golfer Tyler Rosson was named the Southern Athletic Association Golfer of the Week, announced by the league Wednesday afternoon.
 
Rosson, a junior from Houston, earned the honor after registering a career-best finish, tying for second out of 68 players at the John Nellermoe Classic this past Monday and Tuesday. The third-year Pirate carded a 214 (72-70-72) to finish two under par, while also helping SU claim a first place finish out of 13 teams in the event.
 
Rosson recorded 32 pars and 12 birdies across the three rounds, including seven birdies in the second round Monday. His 70 in the second round marked a career best at the collegiate level.
