GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Lacrosse claims two athletes to the All-SAA awards as sophomore
Hannah Colvin earned Second Team Goalie, while freshman
Peyton Shindler garners Sportsmanship honors.
Colvin highlights the honors following a historic season between the pipes. The sophomore broke three school records in single-game saves with 22 against Oglethorpe University, single-season saves with 186 on the year, and saves per game at 13.30.
The Las Vegas native had a breakout season with an incredible 12 straight games with double-digit saves. Colvin ranks second in the nation in saves per game, along with a .467 save percentage on the year which also ranks second all-time. Colvin also picked up 52 ground balls with a massive career-high 12 against Berry College.
Shindler represents the team as the Sportsmanship award recipient as an incredible teammate always willing to go the extra mile for the team, bringing the energy everyday. The freshman consistently beat opponents to 50/50 balls with 28 ground balls on the year. Offensively, she totaled five goals and three assists in her freshman season. Both Pirates will be pivotal pieces for years to come.
