MOUNT BERRY, GEORGIA - Southwestern University Women's Lacrosse dropped their final SAA game of the year against a tough Berry College squad on Sunday, 22-1. The Pirates concluded the season at 1-13 overall.
Southwestern traveled to Berry for their last chance of 2026 after falling to Oglethorpe University up the road on Friday night. After securing a single-game program record of 22 saves on Friday night, sophomore
Hannah Colvin collected 12 saves on Sunday. However, the Pirates struggled to contain the Viking pressure who forced 30 turnovers.
Senior
Elaina Seeley scored the Pirates lone goal in the second quarter on an assist from freshman
Taryn Hopkins. The Vikings controlled the pace of play in the second half, securing the victory. Colvin also picked up a career-high 12 ground balls between the pipes. The effort puts her at third all-time in single-game ground balls.
Colvin finishes a historic season with 186 saves, surpassing the previous record holder by 73. She also sits is second in the nation in saves per game at 13.30. Junior
Sydney Martin finished as the Pirates top goal scorer with 25 as both will be pivotal pieces in 2027.
