GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Track and Field junior Lukas Nowlin picks up right where he left off from the 2025 season, being named SAA Field Athlete of the Week. Nowlin wasted no time in a dominate performance at the Indoor Opener at McNeese State University. 

Nowlin reset his own school record in the high jump last Friday at 2.03 meters. His previous school record was 2.02 meters from last season. The junior looks to add another medal to his name in the SAA after winning the SCAC Outdoor High Jump title last year. 

The native of Baytown, Texas, won the event by a comfortable margin. His score of 2.03 meters currently ranks tenth in the nation. The Pirates excelled at the meet, shattering six total records alongside Nowlin.
