GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Golf traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to open up the 2025 fall season. The Montgomery Intercollegiate was a 36-hole tournament hosted at the Montgomery Country Club by Huntingdon College. The Pirates finished the match with team scores of 322 & 322 for a two day tournament score of 644 putting them tied for 6th place.Â
The Pirates were led by junior Sydney Jackson who fired rounds of 77 & 78 (+11) where she finished in 14th place. Following her in T19th place was freshman Anna Apisarnthanarax who shot rounds of 80 & 80 (+16). Next in T23rd place was senior Sloane Panter who finished with rounds of 80 & 82 (+18), after her was freshman Emily York who shot 88 & 82 (+26) putting her in T40th place. Finishing in T45th place and rounding out the Pirates tournament five was senior Rachel Harris with rounds of 85 & 90 (+31).
As a team the Pirates had a total of eighty-six pars and eight birdies, Jackson led the Pirates in pars with twenty-four. Jackson also was ranked fourth within the field in par 3's playing them at 3.00 (E) for the tournament.
