GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - In order to escape bad weather, the Pirates (12-24) hosted the Roos from Austin College (18-17) on Thursday evening at Taylor-Sanders Field for game one of their series. The Pirates jumped to a quick lead and ended things early, winning 13-0 in 5 innings. 

HIGHLIGHTS

• Meghan McCarthy got things going in the first with a solo Home Run. 
• Yanta, Ytuarte, Saenz, and Clark each got on base in the first inning, bring the lead to 5-0 after one inning. 
• Emily Nevarez homered in the third inning, extending the lead to 9-0.
