GEORGETOWN, TEXAS -  Southwestern Softball (0-4) hosted the McMurry Warhawks (2-0) for a preseason doubleheader Friday afternoon at Taylor-Sanders Field. The Pirates were quick to get runners on base, but were unable to capitalize during game one. The game remained scoreless until the top of the 7th inning when the Warhawks scored three runs and the Pirates could not answer. Game two ended in the 5th inning as McMurry went on a 8-0 run in the top of the 5th inning. 

NOTES:

• Jaden Wheeler pitched the full game one, facing 30 batters and throwing 58 strikes on 90 pitches

• The Pirates combined for eight hits over both games compared to 20 for the Warhawks
