SEGUIN, Texas - Southwestern dropped their winner's bracket contest 5-0 to #5 Texas Lutheran University in SCAC Championship play Saturday afternoon.

The game was scoreless through three innings then Texas Lutheran's bats came alive as they scored two in the fourth and fifth and added another in the sixth.

Southwestern posted four hits in the loss against TLU's Maitlin Rycroft. Celeste Silvas, Andrea Hern, Marissa Irvin and Mary Alex Krosby recorded a hit in the game. Lindsey Longuet suffered the loss with four runs, two earned, four strikeouts and one walk.

The loss drops the Pirates into the loser's bracket where they will face the winner of the 4 pm game, Schreiner vs. Trinity. SU will then take on the winner at 6 pm for a spot in the SCAC Championship game Sunday.
