KERRVILLE, Texas – A crazy weather morning gave was to a flurry of runs but the Pirates were unable to hold off the Bulldogs to drop two SCAC contests.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1: SU 6 – SCH 3

• Schreiner led early with two runs in the bottom of the first. It wasn't until the fifth inning that the would Pirates tie it up.
• Southwestern posted two in the sixth and two in the seventh to take game one 6-3.

Game 2: SU 3 – SCH 4

• Southwestern posted one run in the first but Schreiner triple the effort and led 3-1.
• Another Mountaineer run in the fourth gave Schreiner the lead they needed 4-1.
• Southwestern attempted a comeback with one run in the fifth and sixth but fell short as the Pirates dropped the final game.

UP NEXT

Southwestern closes SCAC play at 11-13 on the year and 18-18 overall. The Pirates sit in fourth place in the conference and trail third place Dallas by one game. SU heads to Memphis to face Rhodes and Emory for two games each beginning at noon on Saturday.
