CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix shot 50% from three point range to hand Southwestern their eighth loss of the season, 74-63, on Sunday afternoon despite a season-high 31 points from Logan Hurley (pictured).

Southwestern started well, building up a seven point lead, 14-7, seven minutes into the game. Hendrix tied the contest and then built a lead, 35-27, heading into halftime, largely from the free throw line.

Five minutes into the second half Southwestern pulled within one after a jumper by Hurley, but Hendrix went on a 16-0 run over the next five minutes to lead by 17, 53-36, with 10 minutes to play. SU was unable to recover as they remained down by double-digits the rest of the way.

Hurley led all scorers and Cantu added in 13 points. Hendrix was led by Ammon Martin with 21 points.

The Pirates shot 41.8% from the floor as a team, 33.3% from three point range while Hendrix went 41.7% from the floor but 8-16 from three point range.

SU has a much needed off weekend and returns to action at home on December 16th to face Austin College in an SCAC match-up.
