GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Basketball senior Shobby Enakpene was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District List on Tuesday afternoon for his incredible efforts on and off the court. 

The eligible award winners must be a sophomore or above student-athlete with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Each recipient must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. 

Enakpene surpassed both those marks as a well-rounded individual who also takes part in numerous campus organizations, which carried over to his game. The senior closed out his career with a 9.7 points per game increase at 17.6 per game as one of the best guards in the conference. Enakpene's experience and leadership was evident, taking over late game situations with three game-winning buckets. 

The Midland native also helped the Pirates clinch their first conference tournament win since 2015. The Pirates also earned an 11 win improvement from the 2024-25 season with the most wins since 2019-20. Southwestern looks forward to seeing what's next for Enakpene after an incredible career and know he will do great things.
