Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 CONWAY, Ark. - Southwestern's softball team was held to just
three hits and no runs in the second round of the SCAC tournament,
falling to #12 DePauw. The Pirates will have to work their way
through the consolation round beginning Saturday against Rhodes at
1:00 pm.
The game remained scoreless through the first three innings
before DePauw posted one run in the bottom fourth and two runs in
the bottom of the fifth. SU just couldn't seem to get runners on as
they left just two runners on base in the contest and were held to
just three hits.
Lyndsy Maus threw well but couldn't get run support as she went
six innings allowing three earned runs on seven hits, walking just
one and striking out four.
Southwestern will now face Rhodes, who fell to Trinity in the
first round, in the consolation bracket. Game time is set for 1:00
pm.
