The Southwestern University's men's golf team took fifth place at the TLU Invitational in Concan, Texas on Tuesday afternoon.

Seniors Xan Erwin and Tyler Russell served as great leaders for Southwestern finishing in a three way tie for 12th place with Hardin-Simmons' Kelci Gonzales. First-year Sean Madera followed in a tie for 15th place, just one stroke past the 12th place finishers. Junior Ricky Jones and first-year Cody Patrick rounded out the competition for Southwestern finishing in 24th and 35th place respectively.

The Pirates had out to the Kingsman Invitational in Lompoc, CA after spring break beginning on March 23.
