Freeman made four starts before getting injured in his final season with the Pirates. In 13 innings of work he allowed 11 hits, three runs, all earned, while walking six and striking out 14.
2010 (Junior)
Appeared and started in 4 games for the Pirates...allowed only 11 hits in 16.1 innings pitched...finished first on the team with an ERA of 1.65.
2009 (Sophomore)
Was 5-3 on the season with 12 appearances and 11 starts...second lowest ERA among starting pitchers at 3.82...in 63.2 innings allowed 63 hits, 27 earned runs, walked 29 and struck out 66...held opponents to .256 batting average...named Pitcher-of-the-Week for week of Feb. 2...2009 All-SCAC Honorable Mention...2009 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District.
2007-2008 (First-year)
Went 3-5 in 15 appearances on the mound of the Pirates...logged a 6.75 ERA while starting 8 games...in 53.1 innings of work allowed 61 hits, 40 earned runs...walked 36 while striking out 61...help opponents to .290 batting average, second lowest on the team.
High School
Freeman was a First Team 4-5A All-District selection, was a team captain his senior year and an All-Area Strikeout Leader for the Tigers at Mansfield HS.
