GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – The Southwestern University Pirates volleyball team has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 30 regular-season matches, four tournaments, and a challenging Southern Athletic Association slate as the Pirates prepare for another competitive season.
Southwestern officially opens the year with a preseason scrimmage on August 27 before welcoming former Pirates back to the Robertson Center for the annual Alumni Match on August 29.
The regular season begins on the West Coast as the Pirates travel to California for the California Invitational. Southwestern opens tournament play on September 4 against Cal Lutheran and Pomona-Pitzer before wrapping up the trip against La Verne on September 5.
The Pirates return home the following weekend to host the Southwestern Invitational on September 11-12. Southwestern will face Linfield and George Fox on Friday before concluding the tournament against Hardin-Simmons on Saturday.
The non-conference schedule continues with a trip to Marshall, Texas, for the ETBU Tournament on September 18-19, where the Pirates will take on Hendrix, LeTourneau, and tournament host East Texas Baptist. Southwestern then returns home for its final non-conference home match against Texas Lutheran on September 22 before closing out non-conference play at Schreiner on September 29.
Conference play begins on September 25-26 at Trinity University in San Antonio. The Pirates will open Southern Athletic Association competition against Centre and Oglethorpe before facing Berry to conclude the opening conference weekend.
Southwestern travels to Millsaps on October 2-3, taking on Rhodes before meeting the host Majors, then returns home for a midweek matchup against Concordia Texas on October 7.
The Pirates host their lone Southern Athletic Association weekend of the season on October 10-11, welcoming Maryville, Trinity, and Sewanee to Georgetown.
Conference action resumes in Danville, Kentucky, on October 16-17, where Southwestern will face Oglethorpe, Berry, and host Centre before returning to San Antonio for another SAA weekend on October 23-24 against Rhodes, Trinity, and Millsaps.
The regular season concludes in Tennessee on October 30-31 with matches against Sewanee and Maryville.
The top teams in the conference will then head to San Antonio for the Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Championship, scheduled for November 12-14, with the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament on the line.
Southwestern will play 11 matches inside the Robertson Center during the 2026 campaign, highlighted by the Southwestern Invitational and a pivotal home conference weekend in October.
