Women's T&F Compete In Trinity Last Chance Invite

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Track & Field sent a select group of athletes to the Trinity Last Chance Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Senior Katelin Pilarski, senior Kaila Hamilton, and junior Ella Lewis highlighted the event for the Pirates. 

Pilarski concluded her incredible career by competing in the 200-Meter dash with a time of 25.99, which ranked fourth in the stacked field. The senior had a breakout season, shattering four school records in the Indoor (55M, 60M, 200M) and Outdoor season (100M). Pilarski scored points at the SAA Championships, captured All-Region accolades, and was named SAA Track Athlete of the Week twice this year. 

Hamilton competed in three events in her final meet as a standout among the throwers. The day was highlighted by a fourth place Hammer Throw distance of 39.37 meters. Hamilton also competed in the Discuss Throw at 32.23 meters, while finishing with the Shot Put event at 9.41 meters. 

Lewis placed second in the Triple Jump at 11.02 meters on Sunday. After a strong 2026, Lewis remains the school record holder in the Triple Jump and Long Jump events. 

UP NEXT
Southwestern has one more athlete competing for a chance to qualify for the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships in senior Breanna Steele. She will travel to the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier in Rock Island, Illinois to compete in the 3,000-Meter Steeplechase on Wednesday. The senior will need to cut time off her personal best, likely needing a finish under 10:46.00.
