GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Lacrosse senior Jackson Strauser wins the SAA Offensive Player of the Week nod, while sophomore Sam Stillwell captures his first Defensive Player of the Week. Both athletes played monumental pieces in the squad's ability to clinch the final spot in the SAA tournament with a win over Berry College, 17-8. Strauser and Stillwell become the fourth and fifth Pirates to win a POTW honor, showing multiple players can take over a game on this team.

Strauser concluded his final home game with the Pirates in style with five goals for a season-high. The senior captain also added an assist as the duo with sophomore Keaten Cox was deadly. Strauser currently sits at sixth all-time in goals scored at 107, only needing two goals to crack the top five.

Stillwell won his first conference POTW honor after a career-high five caused turnovers against Berry on Saturday and three ground balls. Stillwell was a menace on defense as he now is tied for the league lead in caused turnovers per game at 1.93 and owns the lead in total CT's at 29. The sophomore kept the Vikings at only six goals through three quarters, before the subs started to enter.

Both look to keep the momentum going in the SAA Tournament semifinals on Thursday against Sewanee at 3 p.m. CT.
