ABILENE, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Track & Field tally four top five finishes despite the meet being cut short at the War Hawk Classic, hosted by McMurry University.

Southwestern did not compete in numerous events due to the rain, but made a strong impact. One of the highlights of the meet was the Pirates 4x100 relay team, shattering the school record by 0.19 seconds. Junior Ethan Sledge, junior Jalen Joseph, freshman Andrew Puplampu, and senior Sebastian Loder were in sync on Saturday with a time of 41.86.

Junior Lukas Nowlin was the lone Pirate to win an event in the stacked field full of multiple different levels and divisions. Nowlin placed first in the High Jump with a distance of 1.97 meters. Other pivotal top five individual finishers were senior Scott Johnson, senior Sebastian Loder, and Joseph.
