ABILENE, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Track & Field tally four top five finishes despite the meet being cut short at the War Hawk Classic, hosted by McMurry University.
Southwestern did not compete in numerous events due to the rain, but made a strong impact. One of the highlights of the meet was the Pirates 4x100 relay team, shattering the school record by 0.19 seconds. Junior

Lukas Nowlin was the lone Pirate to win an event in the stacked field full of multiple different levels and divisions. Nowlin placed first in the High Jump with a distance of 1.97 meters. Other pivotal top five individual finishers were senior

NOTABLE PERFORMERS
- Joseph nearly snatched the 100-Meter school record with a time of 10.63.
- The effort was only 0.06 seconds shy of the record as Joseph finished fourth among the field.
- Loder continues to post strong 400-Meter times at 48.75, placing fifth overall.
- Freshman Max Rodriguez led the Pirates in the 1,500-Meter event at 4:17.21.
- The throwers were highlighted by Johnson's Javelin Throw effort on Friday night.
- The dual-sport athlete placed fifth with a distance of 46.29 meters.
- Junior Sergio Cobos came only 0.07 meters short of breaking the Triple Jump school record with a distance of 13.49 meters.
- The mark eclipsed his career high as the jumpers are set for the SAA Championships.
