SEGUIN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Track & Field had a strong day in sprinting events with one school record broken in the 200-Meter event at the Texas Lutheran Invite. 

Junior Jalen Joseph knocked on the door of breaking multiple school records last weekend in the outdoor season opener. Joseph broke through on Saturday, shattering the 200-Meter dash with a time of 21.63. He broke the record by 0.13 seconds from 2025 grad Jamal Maxey. 

TOP PERFORMANCES

• Senior Sebastian Loder has returned for the Pirates after also playing Basketball. 
• Loder was incredible in the 400-Meter dash with a time of 48.69. He was only 0.20 seconds shy of his own record in the event. 
• Joseph also nearly broke the 100-Meter record with a time of 10.85. Freshman Jalen White finished right behind at 10.88. 
• Junior Sergio Cobos placed fourth in the Triple Jump event at 12.19 meters. 
• Sophomore Nathan Jimmie hurdled a Discuss Throw at 35.83 meters. 

UP NEXT 
Southwestern competes in the Charles Austin Classic next Friday and Saturday at Texas State.
