GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University junior Mazlyn Heyer was named Southern Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance in the circle during the Pirates' weekend series sweep of the Mountaineers.

Heyer anchored the pitching staff as Southwestern secured wins of 11–9 in game one and a commanding 11–0 shutout in game two. Across 7.1 innings pitched, the junior from Willis, Texas posted a perfect 0.00 ERA and a 0.68 WHIP, allowing just five hits while issuing no walks and recording two strikeouts.

Heyer earned both a win and a save on the weekend, delivering consistent and efficient outings that played a key role in the Pirates' success. Her ability to control the game and limit opportunities proved crucial in helping Southwestern complete the sweep.

The honor marks the first conference weekly award of Heyer's collegiate career, recognizing her impact in the circle and her contributions to the Pirates' strong start.
