GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Softball recently announced the spring 2026 schedule which features 23 home games and 17 road contests. The new challenge in the SAA features two road trips out of state as the competing institutions are Trinity University, Centre College, Millsaps College, Berry College, Sewanee, and Rhodes College. 

Head Coach Alexis Lynn enters her fifth season with the Pirates. Regarding her general thoughts on the upcoming season, Lynn explained, "We have a strong core returning from last year mixed well with new faces that will hopefully provide a very dynamic team to watch. The team has really bought into everything we have done and grown in many different ways. This year will provide a lot of new opportunities for us, not only being in the SAA but having a heavy non-conference schedule full out-of-state teams. The goal is that our non-conference schedule prepares us for the level of competition the SAA provides. We are excited to be traveling to new places, facing new competition and starting this new chapter."

The loaded non-conference schedule are all double-header matchups. The away twin bills are at Schreiner University (Feb 6), Concordia University (TX) (Feb 10), University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Mar 7), and Hardin-Simmons University (Mar 13). The home non-conference doubles are against UMHB (Feb 14), Whitworth University (Feb 21), Hanover College (Feb 26), Williamette University (Feb 27), East Texas Baptist University (Mar 1), St. Olaf College (Mar 17), and Bethel University (Mar 18). 

The SAA schedule features six three-game weekends. Southwestern travels to Sewanee (Mar 28-29), Rhodes (Apr 3-4), and Millsaps (May 2-3). The Pirates home SAA weekends are against Berry (Mar 21-22), Trinity (Apr 10-11), and Centre (Apr 18-19). 2026 is culminated with the SAA conference tournament in Columbus, Georgia (May 7-10).
