GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Men's Soccer sophomore Grey Richards was announced as the Southern Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. The sophomore was magnificent on Sunday, scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory over Berry College.

Richards most importantly scored the game-winning goal against Berry as the Pirates took down Oglethorpe University on Friday and the Vikings on Sunday. Richards scored on a beautiful header that he flicked into the near post on a corner to open the scoring on Sunday. Two minutes later, he put away the second goal on a complete hustle effort.

The native of San Antonio is currently the Pirates leading scorer with seven goals as Cooper Pero is right behind with six. In fact, Richards has more goals scored himself this season than the Pirates have surrendered all season combined. Danny Wasserman and Ross Anderson each collected assists for Richards. The Pirates hit the airport next weekend to Tennessee.
