GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University junior Sam McClure has clenched the SAA Week 1 Golfer of the Week award for his performances over Monday and Tuesday at the Texas Tri-Match against University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Trinity University. McClure fired rounds of 73, 70, & 70 for a total tournament score of 213 which was three under. He led the field in par 3's playing them at -4, he was also tied third in par 5's averaging 4.58 for the three rounds which was -5 total. The junior forced a scorecard playoff which resulted in McClure finishing in solo second place!
