GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2025 NCAA Division III Track & Field Team and Athlete Academic awards on Tuesday. Both the Men's and Women's squads captured their sixth honor in seven years.
To be recognized, a program must have at least a 3.1 cumulative team GPA. The streak continues as both squads have captured the award in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. In addition to the academic teams, 25 SCAC individuals were recognized for their academics.
Two members of the women's squad,
Arden Neff and
Ella Lewis were among the individuals recognized as All-Academic Athletes. Neff had a stellar final season for the Pirates, becoming the first Track and Field athlete ever to earn All-American status, finishing seventh in the 400-Meter Hurdles on the national stage. Neff also shined in the classroom by capturing the Elite 19 Award for her Academic Excellance.
Lewis broke out as a sophomore, finishing runner-up in the triple jump at the conference meet. She now stands on top of the school record books in the long jump and triple jump. Addtionally, Lewis earned USTFCCCA All-Region Indoor and Outdoor. In the classroom, she snatched SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
