Track & Field Adds Former Four-Time All-American, Lauren Taubert As Assistant Coach

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Track and Field recently made a big hire to coaching staff, bringing on Lauren Taubert as a full-time assistant. Taubert will assist all aspects of the program alongside head coach Kenneth Eboh.

Taubert joined recently joined staff as in November. She brings an ample amount of experience to Southwestern after staring at Kansas State University, becoming a four-time All-American in the Heptathlon and Pentathlon. Taubert has also represented our country on the national scale as she currently continues to pursue the 2028 Olympics.

Taubert graduated with a degree in Human Development & Family Science at KSU. In college, she became a Big 12 Conference Champion, along with four runner-up finishes at the Big 12 Championships (Pentathlon, Heptathlon, 400m, Hurdles). Taubert was a pivotal piece on two Big 12 Conference Outdoor Championships along with being a 4x All-American. In 2019, Taubert was one of three finalists for the Kansas State Female Athlete of the Year Award.

After Kansas State, Taubert became a personal trainer at Genesis Health Club from 2023-2025. In February of 2025, Taubert took a role as a personal trainer & strength & conditioning coach at Halo Athletic Center. She also gained pivotal experience as a private Track & Field Coach.

In 2025, Taubert finished fifth at the USA Indoor Championships in New York and 10th at the Outdoor Championships in Eugene. She competed in the Olympic Trials in the heptathlon and qualified for her first national team, representing the U.S.A. in Germany this past summer. She continues to pursue her dream of making it to the Olympics in 2028.
