GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Soccer announced the release of the 2025 schedule. The Pirates tackle a new challenge, competing in the Southern Athletic Association for their first season looking to make an immediate impact.
The 2024 Pirates competed to a 9-7-1 record with a 7-2-1 SCAC mark, falling narrowly in the conference semi-finals. Southwestern was strong defensively, holding opponents to a shutout in seven matches. Head coach
Linda Hamilton moves into her 11th season at the helm, recording seven winning seasons in her ten years along with a conference title.
Southwestern starts the non-conference slate with two home matches against Huston Tillman University (Aug. 25) and University of Puget Sound (Aug. 29). The next three matches feature road contests at Concordia University Texas (Sep. 1), Belhaven University (Sep. 5), and East Texas Baptist University (Sep. 7). Both matches against Belhaven and East Texas Baptist will take place in Marshall, Texas.
Next, SU returns home to Varsity Field to play McMurray University (Sep. 12), Hardin-Simmons University (Sep. 14), and Our Lady of the Lake University (Sep. 19). Sprinkled in between the conference schedule are road non-conference matches at University of Dallas (Sep. 21) and Howard Payne University (Oct. 21), while playing home non-con matches against University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Oct. 8) and Texas Lutheran University (Oct. 14).
The Pirates SAA conference schedule features a seven-game slate (three home and four away). The squads conference home matches are against Sewanee (Oct. 11), Millsaps College (Oct. 24), and Rhodes College (Oct. 26, Senior Day). The Pirates road matches are at Berry College (Oct. 3) in Mount Berry, Georgia, Oglethorpe University (Oct. 5) in Brookhaven, Georgia, Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and Trinity University (Nov. 1) in San Antonio.
The season is culminated with the SAA Conference Tournament (Nov. 6-9), hosted by Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. Check out the schedule tab to view full dates and times.
