GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Basketball hires Lawrence Bailey as their new assistant coach. Coach Bailey brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the women's basketball staff at Southwestern. He led Taylor High School to two district championships and two appearances as area finalists. Bailey was named the Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2024 at Taylor High School. He has had stints at Rouse, Manor, and Hutto High schools before Taylor. Bailey is a native of San Antonio, TX, and played basketball at the University of the Incarnate Word. 

Head Coach Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler says "I am extremely excited to get to work with Coach Bailey. He has extensive coaching experience both as an assistant and head coach at the high school level. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of improving programs."
