GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Basketball officially announced the full 2025-26 schedule which is only 22 days out. The Pirates embark on the first season competing in the Southern Athletic Association, which features a 14-game slate culminated by the conference tournament hosted by Berry College.
The Pirates are led by
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler who enters her third season as head coach. Assistant coach
Lawrence Bailey was added to the staff with over ten years of coaching experience most recently at Taylor High School. Be sure to check out the roster tab to look at the 2025-26 squad.
Southwestern hosts five non-conference games starting with the home opener against Austin College (Nov. 8). The other non-conference opportunities to see the Pirates are against Hardin-Simmons University (Nov. 29), Howard Payne University (Dec. 2), Concordia University (Dec. 16), and University of Dallas (Dec. 18).
The road non-conference trips feature University of the Ozarks (Nov. 14), Hendrix College (Nov. 16), University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Nov. 22), Howard Payne (Nov. 25), Austin (Dec. 6), and Schreiner University (Dec. 30).
January begins the 14-game SAA battle. The SAA home games are Berry College (Jan. 9), Oglethorple University (Jan. 11), Centre College (Jan. 23), Sewanee (Jan. 25), Millsaps (Feb. 6), Rhodes College (Feb. 8), and Trinity University (Feb. 21).
The road conference games feature Trinity (Jan. 3), Millsaps (Jan. 16), Rhodes (Jan. 18), Centre (Jan. 30), Sewanee (Feb. 1), Berry (Feb. 13), and Oglethorpe (Feb. 15). Then, the SAA tournament takes place at Berry College on February 26-28.
