Women's Basketball Loses On The Road Against Concordia

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Women's Basketball continued on the road with a contest against Concordia University down in Austin, Texas. The Pirates led the first period, but were held to eight points in the second causing them to be down seven points at half time. Final score from Austin, Texas was 64-50 (Concordia). 

 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Pirates Trinity Benitez and Taylor Boddie led the Pirates with ten points each, Benitez was one rebound shy of a double-double collecting nine

  • Senior Ellie Ward picked up nine defensive rebounds helping the Pirates top Tornados in rebounds

GAME NOTES

  • Southwestern went 19-61 from the field, 3/23 from three, and were 75% from the free throw line

  • Pirates were twelve better in the rebound margins (46-34) 

  • E. Ward and T. Boddie had the only steals of the night, Ward with three & Boddie with one
